Terms of Service

  1. Afterย successful completion of the class portion of the program, the certificate of enrollment (CDE) will be issued by email.
  2. The CDE form needed to obtain a learnerโ€™s permit will not be issued for class-only or behind-the-wheel-only enrollments.
  3. Students under the age of 16 must enroll in and complete the class and enroll in the behind-the-wheel instruction in order to receive the CDE form.
  4. There may be a significant wait for in-car instruction, and wait times are subject to change.
  5. To ensure students develop best practices behind the wheel, there is an expectation that parents will practice driving with their student in between lessons with their behind-the-wheel instructor.
  6. Successful completion of this program does not guarantee the student will pass the BMV written test or Road Skills Test.
  7. All refund requests made after 30 days of initial payment will be minus a $50 administrative fee.
  8. Refund requests will not be honored after a student has begun the online course, been assigned to an instructor, or after two (2) years of initial payment/enrollment. All monies received will be forfeited.
  9. CIESC vehicles are equipped with front-facing and cabin-facing cameras used for increasing efficiencies within our fleet used for training purposes within our organization.ย 

Responsibilities for Students/Parents

  1. Each student is responsible for arriving prepared and on time for every class, free of distractions such as cell phones and/or other electronic devices that may interfere with instruction.
  2. Each student is responsible for being attentive and actively participating in every class.
  3. Each student is responsible for arriving properly dressed with a valid, unexpired learnerโ€™s permit that includes a photo at each driving session. Screenshots are not acceptable.
  4. Each parent and student must refrain from seeking a driver education completion certificate without first completing the required coursework.
  5. Each student must pass the BMV Written Exam before obtaining the driver education learnerโ€™s permit.ย 
  6. To obtain the permit, the student must have an original birth certificate and Social Security card. Copies will not be accepted. Please visit http://www.in.gov/bmv/index.htm for additional items needed to obtain a permit.
  7. Each student must update their account to be queued for behind-the-wheel instruction.
  8. Each student must treat the instructor and all others in the class with courtesy and respect.
  9. Each student must respect the property of the driving school.
  10. Each parent must take an active role in their childโ€™s driver education by monitoring progress, communicating with the school and/or instructor, and practicing with their student if they have a learnerโ€™s permit.
  11. Each parent and student should attempt to alert the owner or manager of the driving school of problems or complaints before contacting an outside agency.
  12. Each student is responsible for promptly paying the driving school for all fees incurred due to late cancellations or no-shows.
  13. If a learnerโ€™s permit expires, all privileges expire with it. The student will be required to obtain a learnerโ€™s permit and will not be eligible for an operatorโ€™s license until the age of 16 years and 270 days.
  14. Students taking longer than 120 days to complete the online course or behind-the-wheel instruction may be removed from the program/course without refund. An administrative reinstatement fee may be required for re-enrollment.

Student Bill of Rights

  1. Each student has the right to a certified competent instructor, knowledgeable about the curriculum and traffic safety issues.
  2. Each student has the right to be taught the entire 30 clock hours of classroom instruction in an informative, interesting, and challenging manner.
  3. Each student has the right to experience the full 6 clock hours of driving instruction as required in the curriculum.
  4. Each student has the right to be treated in a courteous, civil, and respectful manner.
  5. Each student has the right to attend class in a clean, secure, fully equipped classroom that meets the local fire and building codes, and the BMV requirements.
  6. Each student has the right to perform their driving in a vehicle that is clean, safe, and fully functional under Indiana law and BMV requirements.
  7. Each student and parent have the right to see the school and instructor license and certification.
  8. Each parent has the right to observe any class session, including behind the wheel, in which his or her child is included. (Subject to practical limits in classroom or vehicle space) The parent must not intervene or interfere while the class or driving session is in progress.
  9. The parent and student have the right to place a complaint with the BMV regarding problems associated with a driving school or instructor. An email, detailing the issue, may be sent to DriverEducation@bmv.in.gov. Complaints may also be mailed to:
